Starting a Parallel System

To start a parallel system (see Figure 59 on page 70):
1. Verify that all UPS circuit breakers are in the OFF (O) position.
NOTE The load connector breaker controls the load connector only, not the output power
cord.
2. Verify that all UPS power cords are plugged in and secured by the plug retainers (see Figure 64 on
page 77).
3. Verify that all redundant signal cables are connected.
4. Switch on utility power where the UPSs are connected.
5. Switch the UPS input circuit breakers on each UPS to the ON (
