7. After lubricating the internal bore of the bearing
assembly, install it on the shaft. Clean the compres-
sion valve shims and install them.
8. For pistons equipped with O-rings, replace the O-
ring(s). The piston faces may require some flat sand-
ing.

9. When using a bleeding shim, it should be kept in time
with the compression port. Install the piston compres-
sion side down.

10. Add the rebound valve stack and secure using a new
lock nut. Tighten the nut to 22 ft-lb keeping the bleed
shim in time with the compression port.
