5. Remove the retaining ring using a valve shim. Insert
the Piston Location (IFP) Tool and twist to lock it onto
the IFP.
6. While pushing down on the tool, pull up on the shock
shaft to remove the shaft assembly.

7. Remove the screw and O-ring from the IFP. Remove
the IFP using the tool.

8. Dispose of used oil in an environmentally-acceptable
