Inslall the snap ring (1] using Ihe special tool
TOOL
Snap ring pliers [2] 07914-SA50001 or
07914·3230001
Coat a new piston seal [1) with clean brake fluid and

install it into the seal groove in the caliper.
Coat the caliper piston [2) with clean brake fluid .
Apply 0.2 9 of silicone grease to the seal area, and 0.5 -
0.7 g to the inside of a new piston boot [3].
Install the piston boot onto the caliper piston .
Install the piston boot into the groove in the caliper.
Install the caliper piston into the caliper cylinder and
onto the adjusting bolt by turning it clockwise.
Install the piston boot into Ihe groove in the caliper
piston.

Apply 0.4 g minimum of silicone grease to the sliding

Inslalilhe collar (2) into the caliper bracket.

Coal Ihe slide pin [3) of the caliper body with 0.4 9
minimum of silicone grease and install it into the caliper
bracket.
Install the pad spring [1) in the caliper body as shown.
Inslalilhe brake pads [2] onto Ihe caliper bracket.
Align the piston groove with the index mati<
(page 20-9).
