the

NOTE:
When the gear
set.
bearing, and/or gear
case
has
been replaced
,
check
the
tooth
contact pattern
check (page
18·51).
Check the gear
backlash
(page
18-49).
Clean
the
mating
surface
of
the gear
case
and
cover,
being careful
not to damage
them.
Blow
compressed
air through the breather holes
in
the
gear case and cover.
Install
the proper ring gear
shims
(1}
onto the
ring gear
[2J and install
them into the gear
case.
