● Install the steering stem spacer ① .
● Tighten the steering stem lower nut ②
special tool.
Clamp wrench : 09940-10122
Steering stem lower nut
● Install the lock washer ③ .
● Turn the steering stem right and left, lock-to-lock,
five or six times.
● Tighten the steering stem upper nut ④
fied torque.

● Install the handlebar and tighten the handlebar set
bolt ⑤ to the specified torque.
Handlebar set bolt
: 40 ~ 50 Nㆍ ㆍ m (4.0 ~ 5.0 kgfㆍ ㆍ m)
● Installed the steering stem, inspect the following
items.
∙ Lift the front fork.
∙ Inspect play of the front fork as that grasp lower
of the front fork and shake it by the front and rear.
∙ By the handle turning the right or left, inspect
whether turning smoothly.
∙ Adjust the steering stem lower nut if the steering
is comed heavy and tight.
● Bleed air of the front brake. (Refer to page 2 - 20)
