We declare under our sole responsibility that the Facsimile Unit and option to which this declaration
relates is in conformity with the specifications below. This declaration is valid for the area of the
European Union (EU) only.

89/336/EEC, 73/23/EEC and 93/68/ECC directives.

The device must be used with shielded interface cables. The use of non- shielded cable is likely to
result in interference with radio communications and is prohibited under EU directives.
The copier has been approved in accordance with Council Decision 1999/5/EC for pan-European sin-
gle terminal connection to the public switched telephone network (PSTN). However, due to differ-
ances between the individual PSTNs provided in different countries, the approval does not , of itself,
give an unconditonal assurance of successful operation on every PSTN network termination point.
In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment supplier in the first instance.
Note: The manufacturer should ensure that the vendor and user of equipment is clearly informed of
the above information by means of packaging and/or user manuals or other forms of user instructions.
This product is approved for DTMF dialing only. When directly connected to the public switched
telephone network (PSTN mode) pulse dialing can not used.
(Pulse dialing may only be used when this product is connected to a PABX.)
