Displaying route flap dampening statistics for a BGP4+ neighbor
To display route flap dampening statistics for a specified BGP4+ neighbor, enter the following
command at any level of the CLI.
BigIron RX# show ipv6 bgp neighbor 2000:4::110 flap-statistics

Syntax: show ipv6 bgp neighbor <ipv6-address> flap-statistics
The <ipv6-address> parameter displays the route flap dampening statistics for a specified
neighbor. You must specify this address in hexadecimal using 16-bit values between colons as
documented in RFC 2373.

have changed state and thus have been marked as flapping routes.
Indicates the status of the route, which can be one of the following:
> – This is the best route among those in the neighbor's BGP4+
route table to the route's destination.
d – This route is currently dampened, and thus unusable.
h – The route has a history of flapping and is unreachable now.
* – The route has a history of flapping but is currently usable.
The destination network of the route.
The IPv6 address of the advertising peer.
The number of flaps (state changes) the route has experienced.
The amount of time (in hh:mm:ss) since the first flap of this route.
The amount of time (in hh:mm:ss) after which the path is again
available.
The AS path of the route.
