Command Line Interface

aaa accounting

This command enables RADIUS accounting of requested services for billing or
security purposes. Use the no form to disable the accounting service.
Syntax
aaa accounting [[dot1x | exec | update] default | server-name | periodic
[start-stop group radius | server-name]]
no radius-server
• dot1x - Runs accounting for dot1x service request.
• exec - Runs accounting request for Exec service request.
• update - Enables periodic interim accounting records to be sent to the
accounting server.
- default - Specifies the default accounting list. The default list contains dot1x
and Exec accounting RADIUS defaults.
- server-name - Specifies the name of a server. (1-7 characters)
- periodic - Sends a periodic request for an update. (Default: 0;
Range:1~2147483647 minutes)
• start-stop - Automatically records an authentication starting point and
stopping point.
• group - Specifies the server user group.
- radius - Specifies all Radius hosts.

Console(config)#aaa accounting dot1x default start-stop group radius
Console(config)#

accounting

This command applies the accounting method list to an interface. Use the no form to
remove accounting from the interface.
Syntax
accounting [dot1x default | name] | [exec list-name]
no accounting dot1x
• dot1x - Configures a dot1x service request.
- default - Specifies the default accounting list that contains dot1x and exec
service requests.
- name - Specifies a method name.
• exec - Applies a method to a selected port.
- list-name - Specifies an accounting list with this name.
