Control Operation

Normal Control
Control is performed independently for each control loop based on the set
point data. The relationship between the set point data and the control opera-
tion is shown in the following table.
Set point
F999 to 9999
Normal temperature control performed.
CCCC
Control stopped.
Other settings
Temperature control performed according to the most recent valid
set point data. The PV will be EE01.
If the temperature exceeds the range from –999 to 9999, the process value
data in the Temperature Controller will be frozen at –999 or 9999 and the data
will be maintained at F999 or 9999, respectively.
The process value data will be set to FFFF during initialization; do not read
the data as the process value at this time.
If the output is shorted, short-circuit protection will operate, turning the output
OFF. To reset the short-circuit protection, either turn off the power supply or
set the set point data to CCCC to stop control operation.
1. Set the function DIP switch pins (SW1) before connecting the Temperature
Control Unit to the other Units of the PC.
2. All pins on the DIP switch are factory-set to OFF.
3. Use a pen tip or other pointed object to set the pins of the DIP switch.

Used for heating control with heaters. If the temperature is lower than the set
temperature (i.e., the temperature has negative deviation), the output of the
heaters will be increased.
Used for suppressing excessively high temperature with cooling water. If the
temperature is higher than the set temperature (i.e., the temperature has pos-
itive deviation), the output of the cooling water will be increased.
