IGMP Querier pane

An IGMP querier is a network service that runs on a network switch and manages the IGMP network traffic. An
IGMP querier should be configured on the NAV network. It manages the multicast traffic. If there is no IGMP
querier on the network, there is no effective multicast traffic management and the multicast traffic saturates the
network and stream errors can occur.

present on the network, and the IP address of the IGMP querier. The address allows you to know that you are
communicating to a querier and which querier. In the case of duplicate querier, the IP address may change.
Figure 120 shows the normal indication if an IGMP querier is present on the network and if no IGMP querier is
present on the network.
