SIS Operation

The NAVigator can be remotely controlled, monitored, or configured using the following:
A user-defined string consisting of SIS commands (see below).

configure the program to issue command strings to the NAVigator.
NOTE: You can connect the NAVigator to a control system using either the OOB or NAV LAN port.
Connecting the NAVigator to the Host
Use one of the following methods to establish communication between the host and the NAVigator:
Ethernet — Connected the host to the rear panel NAV/PoE port (see

Host-to-NAVigator Communications
SIS commands consist of one or more characters per field. No special characters are required to begin or end a
command character sequence. When a command is valid, the decoder executes the command and sends a
response to the host device. All responses from the decoder to the host end with a carriage return and a line feed
(CR/LF = ] ), which signals the end of the response character string. A string is one or more characters.
