Selection of GI 275 System Components

3.4.1

Aircraft Eligibility Checklist

The aircraft must meet the requirements for the GI 275 system installation set forth by this STC. The
following checklist is used as a guide to identify if those requirements are satisfied. Complete the checklist
before the aircraft is modified.

ENERAL

Verify the aircraft is on the Approved Model List.

Verify an approved external GPS/navigation data source is installed.

Select the GI 275 equipment that will be installed.

Identify the equipment that will be interfaced, and verify each interface is approved.

Determine if the STC limitations applicable to the aircraft are acceptable.

Determine if the aircraft electrical system is adequate.

Obtain the current aircraft weight and balance data.
Complete baseline flight check of the existing autopilot, if autopilot interface is

planned.

NSTRUMENT

Select the standby instrument(s) and their location(s), if used.

Determine the location of each display.

Determine the location of the display backup switch, if used.

Determine the location for each circuit breaker and its placard.
Verify the total mass of equipment being installed in the instrument panel is not more

than the total mass of the equipment being removed from the panel.
E
QUIPMENT
Determine the GMU 11/44B location, if used, and complete the magnetometer

survey.

Determine the GTP 59 OAT Probe location(s), if used.

Determine if the backup battery is required and installed.
EIS

Perform Fuel Flow Baseline Check, if required.
Determine which parameters will be displayed on the EIS, and verify they can be

displayed.
Determine the location of all gauges that must be retained and verify the operating

limits for each.

Determine the GEA 24/110 location(s).

Select engine sensors for parameters determined to be displayed on the EIS.
