Useful for
Traffic that is highly sensitive to delay. For
example, IP telephony, videoconferencing,
and interactive protocols that require quick
user response, such as telnet.
Note that the weight (amount of bandwidth)
allocated to this class is less than the weight
allocated to the "Important" class. The
"Urgent" class is ideal for delay-sensitive
traffic that does not demand a high amount of
bandwidth.
Important traffic that requires a high allocation
of bandwidth, but which is not exceptionally
sensitive to delays. For example, you can
prioritize the HTTP traffic of a company's
executive officers over other types of traffic,
by assigning it to the "Important" class.
Traffic that is not sensitive to long delays, and
which does not require a high guaranteed
bandwidth. For example, SMTP traffic
(outgoing email).
