Min Inp Lvl
This field provides faster analog TX power measurements when -5.0 dBm or 0.0
dBm is selected from the list of choices. To use this field, determine the lowest
(minimum) power level that you expect at the RF Input to the Test Set or PCS
Interface. Then, choose the highest value from the list of choices that your signal
input is expected to stay above.
• -10 dBm - This is the default value. When this choice is selected, the signal at the RF
Input is not expected to drop below -10 dBm.
• -5 dBm - When this choice is selected, the RF Input is not expected to drop below
-5 dBm.
• 0.0 dBm - When this choice is selected, the RF Input is not expected to drop below
0 dBm.
HP-IB Example
"DISP RFAN;RFAN:PMEasurement:MILevel '0.0 dBm'"
selects 0.0 dBm as the Minimum Input Level.
Operating Considerations
When Minimum Input Level is adjusted to accommodate a higher power signal,
the Test Set reduces the number of samples taken to calculate average power. The
time savings are approximately half for each corresponding increase in Minimum
Input Level.
If the signal drops below the specified Minimum Input Level, the Test Set will
make the measurement without displaying any error message or error code.
During these measurements, however, the accuracy and repeatability of the power
measurement may be adversely affected.
