IP addresses in the project
A SINAMICS S120 Control Unit is created with the following IP addresses in a project in the TIA
Portal:
• Commissioning and service interface X127:
– IP address: 169.254.11.22
– Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
• PROFINET interface X150:
– IP address: 192.168.1.2
– Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
The PROFINET addresses lie in the area of the PROFINET subnet of a SIMATIC S7 controller. No
additional settings are required to establish a network.

Defining the preferred PG/PC interface
To define the preferred PG/PC interface for the online connection, proceed as follows:
1. In your project, select menu "Options > Settings".
The settings of the TIA Portal are opened.
2. Select entry "Online & Diagnostics".
