free-play. free play should be no more than 5 mm.
NOTICE
This procedure may require a few attempts to obtain

IMPORTANT
Approximately 5 mm of free-play for the shifter rod is
normal due to gear selector engagement in the
transmission. Do not attempt to adjust cables to
decrease this normal free-play amount. This may
damage the shift cables.
