9. Install detent spring, detent pawl and detent star.
Note the master spline on the detent star and the shift
shaft.

10. Install five fasteners into rear transmission cover.
Torque fasteners to specification.

12. Install shift linkage plate and one fastener

13. Install idler gear into transmission cover.
14. Apply a continuous bead of Crankcase 3 Bond
Sealant (PN 2871557) to left-hand transmission
