Admitting a new M300 patient

Whenever you turn on an M300 and previous patient data is stored on the M300, the New patient?
Yes/No screen appears automatically.
This screen allows you to decide whether the currently-stored patient data remains or is deleted to make
room for a new patient.
To admit a new patient, you must select Yes to erase the previous patient's data from memory. Use the
Up (
) arrow and Down (
A - New patient?
B - Yes
C - No
D - Press
to confirm
If you select No, the M300 retains all stored patient data (patient name, trends, stored recordings) and will
continue to append the new data to the stored data.
If you select Yes, patient data stored by the M300 is erased and the ICS alarm limits and arrhythmia de-
fault settings are applied.
In both cases, if the M300 was already admitted to the ICS, the patient continues to be displayed in the
same viewport at the ICS screen.
When you select a new patient, a new Full disclosure record is created by the ICS. Since the M300 erased
all patient data, the patient name on the ICS appears blank until a new name is entered for that patient
(via the ICS admit screen).
