▶ Wait until the firmware restore is completed.
BIOS or iRMC S5 firmware restore feature is executed at the same
time as the power cord is connected after the system board
replacement.
Depending on the configuration of your server the firmware restore
requires different time, see
duration during firmware restore" on page
9 - 23 minutes (systems without PFR feature),
18 - 38 minutes (systems with PFR feature).
Do not perform the following operations after connecting the power
cord. Please wait for the above time to elapse.
– Remove and reinsert the power cord
– Power button on/off
– Connecting and disconnecting other cables, etc.
▶ Check the status of the power-on indicator to verify if the firmware restore
was successful, see

If the firmware restore is successfully completed, the power-on indicator is lit
white.
If the power-on indicator is not lit white, an error has occured. Disconnect
and connect the power cord and try to boot up, or replace the system board
again.
▶ After completion of the firmware restore, connect to the iRMC and check the
SEL log files, see
page
532.
▶ Reboot the system by disconnecting and connecting the power cord. After
disconnecting the power cord, wait 60 seconds and connect it again.

current BIOS or iRMC S5 version in the new system board using the BIOS
Setup Utility.
