If the fork is bent, replace the shift rod with a new one.
A bent fork could cause diffi culty in shifting, or allow the
transmission to jump out of gear when under power.

Shift Fork/Gear and Shifter Groove Wear
If the thickness of a shift fork ear is less than the
servicelimit, the shift rod must be replaced.

If the groove is worn over the service limit, the shifter
must be replaced

◆ Install:
◆ Visually inspect the shift fork.
【A】90°
◆ Measure the thickness of the shift fork ears【B】,
and measure the width【C】of the gear groove and
shifter.
Standard: 5.8 ~ 5.9 mm
Service Limit: 5.7 mm
Standard: 6.0 ~ 6.1 mm
Service Limit: 6.2 mm
