Periodic Maintenance chapter.

Periodic Maintenance chapter to fi ll the oil fi lter.

◆ Remove the Coarse Filter Cover.
◆ The Coarse Filter【A】out of the crankcase.

◆ Clean the Coarse Filter【A】thoroughly whenever it
is removed for any reason.
◆ Clean the Coarse Filter with an appropriate solvent and
remove any particles stuck to it.
WARNING WARNING
!
Clean the Coarse Filter in a well-ventilated area, and
take care that there is no spark or fl ame anywhere near
the working area. Because of the danger of highly
fl ammable liquids, do not use gasoline or low fl ash-point
solvents.
TIPS TIPS
◆ While cleaning the Coarse Filter
metal particles that might indicate internal engine
damage.
◆ Check the Coarse Filter Coarse Filter carefully for any damage,
holes, broken wires,or gasket pulling off .
