Operation Verification
he following procedures meet the needs of most incoming inspections
(80% veri cation), and provide a reasonable assurance that the instrument is
functioning properly. Do these procedures in the order given.
he operation veri cation form is supplied at the end of the procedure. Use
the form to record the pass/fail results of an operation veri cation.

1. Self-tests

1. Perform the full self-tests contained in the instrument rmware. No
additional test equipment is required. Press
he synthesizer executes a series of self-tests. When completed, the
following message is displayed if all the tests passed:
LL SELF-TESTS H VE P SSED!
2. Record on the operation veri cation form and continue to the next

test, \Power Accuracy".
If the synthesizer fails one or more self-tests, a di erent message is displayed
listing the most independent test that failed and a reference to the best
entry point into the
