12. Pulse Modulation On/Off Ratio
Description and Procedure
Using a spectrum analyzer, the synthesizer's CW RF output power is measured
both with pulse on and with pulse o . he di erence in power is the pulse
on/o ratio.
1. Connect the equipment as shown in Figure 2-14. Preset all instruments
and let them warm up for at least one hour.
On the HP 8556B, connect the CAL OU PU to the RF INPU . Press
to calibrate the spectrum analyzer.
