Emergency Shutdown

The analyzer system must be fully shut down and the sample system
decontaminated as appropriate prior to performing maintenance. Follow this
procedure when shutting down the analyzer for maintenance or a long-term
outage.
1. Close the sample flow to the instrument and purge the sample from the
unit using nitrogen.
2. Turn off power to the analyzer.
3. Allow the instrument to cool.
Caution Failure to allow adequate cooling time before opening the oven can
lead to equipment damage or injury to personnel. ▲
4. Turn off all air supplies.
Caution Parts of the instrument may be hot even after power is removed. Allow
the system to cool completely before performing maintenance. ▲
1. Close the sample supply to the system.
2. Turn off the main power to the system.
