Modbus-TCP
This menu is used to implement settings for the Modbus-TCP operating mode.
If the device is a Modbus slave, two external devices (Master 1 and Master 2) can access the device at
the same time. If it is a Modbus master, it can communicate with up to four external devices (Device 1
to Device 4).
For use of the Modbus protocol, see also:
chapter 9.7 "Modbus frames for reading", Page 220
chapter 9.8 "Modbus frames for writing", Page 221
Communication via Modbus is described in detail in the separate interface description.
NOTE!
To ensure that fixed IP addresses are used, the DHCP must be deactivated in the devices involved, if
applicable.
NOTE!
The transfer times in an Ethernet network depend in part on the network architecture and the capacity
utilization. This may result in delays during updates of process values.
