System variables
The following query of the system variables (read-only) indicates whether Diff is in the editor
mode:
"UP.$Script.EditMode == TRUE"
If the script is called from the command line, this query is not required.

Command line call

Diff scripts can also be started without the graphic user interface of Diff via the command line.
The syntax is described in Section Command line call (Page 110).

File formats

You can write variables read from the archive to external files. Various options are available
for this purpose.
You can write read data to a text file with the TraceToFile("<path>", "<string>")
procedure. You can specify the format of a text file yourself, e.g. Excel-readable CSV files or
XML files.
