Extended DO list

For the preconfiguration of an assignment of components to specific DOs, components can
be added to the DOs in the DO list.
For compatibility reasons, the existing format "*.uvd" is still supported for DO lists without
components.
The capability to permanently configure specific drive objects (DO) is used in the following
scenarios:
1. Use in Topo as basis for configuring topologies
An extended DO list can be configured and exported in Topo. The extended DO list is stored
centrally in the enterprise, for example, for a machine series.
Previously, you manually entered and assigned the component properties and DO
properties when creating new topologies. Alternatively, you can now use an extended DO
list as basis for the configuring. The "*.uvdx" file is imported or referenced from any storage
location.
The DOs and components configured in the DO list are offered for use when creating the
topology.
Only preconfigured DOs and components are used for a referenced DO list.
2. Use for configuring the EPLAN with the DQ topology export
As described in item 1, the configured DO list in Topo is used in the Siemens DQ topology
export (EPLAN Add-In) for deriving a topology.
Whereby, the individual modules in EPLAN are assigned DOs and components from the
DO list.
