6.8 Extended user-specified topology
Requirement
Create MyConfig contains the "Extended user-specified topology" as a third mode in addition
to the comparison and user-specified topologies.

In addition to the SINAMICS wiring diagram, the extended user-specified topology also
includes NC and DRV data.
The main application area of the extended user-specified topology is rewiring the SINAMICS
topology on an existing machine. Whereby, it is also possible to extend (or remove from) the
topology with additional DO or components, as well as edit the existing NC and DRV machine
data.
The starting basis for the extended user-specified topology is the archive import of a functioning
machine.
After the import, in addition to the wiring diagram, additional NC and DRV data is available in
the background for manipulation.
All of the data remain available until it is deleted and can be saved as Topo project <Name>.uptz
During the import, DO variables are automatically assigned to the drive objects (DO). These
are needed for the drive or encoder assignment.
Components can be deleted, added or moved using the known mechanisms such as drag-and-
drop, copy and paste.
Note
Observe the drive data format
The extended user-specified topology is possible only based on ARC archives with ASCII drive
data files.
Drive data in ACX format and ARD archives are not supported.
For an extended user-specified topology based on an archive, an ARC archive must be used
for the SINUMERIK 828D control system.
Drive objects
The extended user-specified topology works only with complete drive objects.
