If the miniature switch (
to OFF, the module makes all 8 channels available as digital
inputs according to EN 60947-5-6 (operating mode A).
If the miniature switch is set to ON, the desired operating
mode must be activated for input channels 0 ... 3 by means of
parameterisation (
Input channels 4 ... 7 can be used exclusively as digital inputs
- independent of the setting of the miniature switch.
Certain parameter alterations cause an initialisation of the
respective channel. (
In the digital input operating mode the applied signal is con-
verted into a digital signal (0/1) in accordance with specifica-
tion EN 60947-5-6 (Namur) and stored in the corresponding
bit in byte 0 of the PII. If an error occurs (e.g. short circuit,
overload, wire break, etc.), the last correct value or the para-
meterised replacement value is valid depending on paramet-
erisation (Tab. 3/28 and Tab. 3/29).
