The input module CPX-P-8DE-N... provides 8 digital inputs
according to specification EN 60947-5-6 (Namur). It determ-
ines the switching status (0- or 1-signal) for each channel by
internal current measurement according to specification
EN 60947-5-6. Short circuits and wire breaks can be detected
when Namur sensors or actuated mechanical contacts are
connected.
Description
Functions:
– 8 digital inputs according to EN 60947-5-6
– Short circuit and wire break monitoring
– Module properties, can be parameterised
– Channel 0 ... 3 can be used as counter inputs or for fre-
quency measurement; limit monitoring; control via pro-
cess image possible (start, stop, reset)
Suitable for connecting:
– Namur sensors according to specification EN 60947-5-6
– actuated mechanical contacts
– non-actuated mechanical contacts (the diagnostic func-
tions "wire break monitoring" and "short circuit monitor-
ing" must be disabled).
Scope of application:
– only for non-intrinsically safe circuits.
