Connection of Namur sensors
Namur sensors are supplied via the module and deliver a
high or low logic signal depending on the switching status of
the sensor. A possible wire break or short circuit is detected
via an internal current measurement. A corresponding error
message is generated depending on parameterisation.
Connection of actuated mechanical contacts
Actuated mechanical contacts also enable a wire break and
short-circuit monitoring function. The two resistors ensure
the current lies within the valid operating range in both
switching states.
