Shipment Inspection
To inspect the shipment perform the following steps:
1. Verify that you have received all items of your shipment.
2. Compare the shipment thoroughly with the delivery note.
3. Visually inspect the shelf to ensure that all of the connector pins are straight, shrouds
are properly seated, and screws are tight.
4. Check the rails for proper alignment.
5. Check that the air filter is properly installed.
6. Check that the cable connections are secure and properly fitted.
7. Check the EMI gaskets for damage.
8. Tighten loose screws before proceeding.
9. Remove the desiccant bags delivered with the system and dispose of them according
to your country's legislation.
10. Do not remove shipping frame stiffeners until positioning is complete and all bolts are
fully tightened. Mounting without frame stiffeners may cause warping of the shelf.
The shelf is thoroughly inspected before shipment. Report any damage or

Consider these issues for basic site and installation requirements:
Is adequate power available for the AXP1440-C07 system?

Can the shelf be positioned in a way that -48VDC/-60VDC power source is easy to

reach?
Are racks with sufficient space available to install the shelf?

Is suitable equipment available to lift the shelf into the rack?

Is there enough space to run a system console terminal? Is the cable long enough

to reach the system?
Are the inlet and outlet of the fans free of obstruction to allow for proper airflow?

