6.4.1 Procedure - Install a SAM1620-D in Nonpowered or Powered
Shelf
Put on an ESD wrist strap.
Connect the strap to the shelf by attaching the front or rear ESD jack.
To install the module in a nonpowered or powered shelf, proceed as follows:
1. From the rear of the shelf, insert the module into the shelf by placing the top and bottom
edges of the module in the card guides of the shelf. Make sure that the guiding module
of shelf and blade are aligned properly. Carefully align the module.
2. Slide the module into the shelf and rotate the ejector handle upward until it snaps into
place.
If your shelf is powered on continue with step
If your shelf is not powered proceed with step
3. Wait until the blue LED is illuminated.
4. Screw in the front panel captive screws and finger tighten. The blue LED blinks.
