FRU Installation
Follow these steps to reposition the ADP1440-D and loosen the captive locking screw of
the upper fan tray module so it can be removed from the shelf.
Before removing the upper rear fan tray module, UFT1440-D, the system must be powered
down.
1. In the front of the shelf, remove the two mounting screws from the ADP using a #1
Phillips screwdriver.

2. Carefully pull out the ADP1440-D but do not disconnect and place it on the cable
management tray directly below it.
3. From the front of the shelf loosen the internal captive locking screw located though the
slot where the ADP1440-D is normally positioned. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver
(minimum of 10 in./25cm).
