Overview

The AXP1440-C07 shelf supports 14 AdvancedTCA blade slots, of which 12 are node slots
that can be populated with task CPU processor blades, network processor blades, or any
other blade designed for a specific application. It has two slots for the system controller and
switching blades. There are slot locations below the AdvancedTCA slots in the rear of the
shelf for the two SAM1620-Ds (Shelf Management Controller). All slots comply with PICMG
3.0 for power distribution and form factor and PICMG 3.1 for Ethernet and Dual Star
interface. The shelf's other components include two Power Entry Modules (PEMs), one
Upper Fan Tray module (UFT1440-D), one Lower Fan Tray module (LFT1440), and front
and rear cable management trays (optional).
