Airflow Requirements
The AXP1440-C07 provides fault tolerant cooling to front-mounted AdvancedTCA blades
and to rear transition modules based on one front and one rear maintainable intelligent fan
trays with six fans per tray. Fan trays are mounted in the shelf top and bottom. The figure
below shows the general airflow for the shelf.

Mounting Options and Stabilization
The AXP1440-C07 is designed to be mounted in a 19" equipment rack. For increased
stability, we recommend that the rack is securely mounted to the floor, or if using stabilizing
devices make sure they are installed and extended.
The AXP1440-C07 has additional rail mounting capability. The top and bottom plates
are compatible with rail systems from Jonathon Company. For hole spacing and
configuration, please contact your local SMART EC sales representative.
