Replacing the Blast Shield

The blast shield is a replaceable optical window that is located between the output focusing lens
and the proximal surface of the fiber delivery system. This window protects the output focusing
lens from damage from debris that could be ejected from a damaged fiber.
The blast shield is located on a bracket that is inserted from the top of the output focusing lens
mount, just behind the laser aperture/fiber bulkhead connector.

Estimated Replacement Time: 1 minute
Procedure
