Deviations from normal Operation

Paper Jam in the Transport Unit TU

Caution!
In case of a paper jam, always withdraw the print
engine first before pulling out the transport unit!
Pull out the print engine:
− Open the LH side door
− Open the locking: 2 levers (1)
− Pull out the complete PE (2)
Paper jams may occur in 3 spots in the TU:
1.

Paper transport at the bottom

2.

Paper transport at the top

Sheet turnaround SB → TU
3.

Paper Transport at the bottom

Print engine pulled out
− Open the locking (1) of the TU (2 levers)
− Pull out the TU towards you
− Open the levers (2) and hold against the unit
as the bottom part of the TU should be low-
ered slowly
− Take the flap (3), pull it up and slowly lower
the bottom part
