Gaining ECS Control

When attempting to gain ECS Control, there are three things that govern whether or not ECS Control can be
obtained:
1.

LOC Priority.

2.

LOC Lockout.

3.
User profile access control.
11.2.2.1 LOC Priority
LOCs are assigned (through panel or HFSS Honeywell Fire Software Suite of the ECS-VCM, ECS-NVCM or
ECS-RVM) an LOC priority of low, normal, or high. LOCs with a higher priority are always able to gain control
from a lower priority LOC.
11.2.2.2 LOC Lockout
When LOCs are programmed to the same priority, the setting LOC lockout applies. LOC lockout will not allow
an LOC to gain ECS Control from the LOC with ECS Control until one of three things happen:
1.
The LOC lockout timer expires. Once the LOC lockout timer expires, an attempt to gain ECS Control can be
made again.
