Adding oil to the Varian roughing pump

This procedure is not required for an Edwards oil-free roughing pump.
Note:
If, on checking the pump's oil level, you find it low, you must add oil (see
page 5-20).
Varian roughing pump:
Oil filler plug
Oil level sight glass
Oil drain plug
Required materials
• Chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves
• Funnel
• Varian GP45 oil
