The table below shows the recommended intervals for checking functions. National
specifications always take priority.
For details of the function test, refer to the 'Applicable documents' chapter.
Activity
Check date and time.
Trigger an automatic detector and a manual call point per line.
Trigger all manual call points
Trigger all automatic fire detectors.
Check all detectors for soiling and application.
Check the function of the input/output modules.
On each line check whether short-circuit / open line triggers a 'Fault'.
Check the loop line function.
During short-circuit also check the separator function.
Check activation of the controls up to and with the interface.
Check isolations carried out by the customer. Arrange a time with the
customer.
Check 'Delayed for in case of a mains failure' function.
Check the function of the delay times t1 and t2.
Alarm activation by automatic detector on 'unmanned'
Alarm activation by manual call point on 'manned' and 'unmanned'
Check automatic switchover 'Manned' / 'Unmanned' on the basis of
the event memory entry.
Check activation of the remote transmission equipment with 'Alarm'.
Actuate the corresponding danger level by activating a detector with
the detector exchanger and tester
In emergency power operation check all alarm devices taking the
event category into account:
'Pre-alarm'
'Alarm'
'Fault'
⇒ Global alarm.
⇒ Local alarm/global alarm.
