This section shows how different combinations of scan codes can be used to
increase mailpiece integrity. The numbers at the top of each sheet show the
order in which the pages were printed (i.e., generated by the application). Un-
less otherwise stated, the examples apply to a standard feed top scan system.
The following figure shows the sheet layout used throughout the examples.

This is the best choice where space must be kept to an absolute minimum
(see figure below). With the side clearance and the nominal width of the mark,
an area of only 20 mm high by 16 mm wide is required to provide the proper
clear zone with the single mark centered in the zone.
