What is the Optional SureTrac™ Process Verification?
SureTrac™ Process Verification is an optional PC-based product that is used
in conjunction with PB FIRST™ PD and the DI900/DI950 inserter that allows
you to track all mailpieces in a job when run through the inserter. This verifica-
tion process requires barcode 39 for the scan code in the job; hence, the high-
est integrity level must be installed on the inserter.
Once you have installed the SureTrac™ software on both the "client" PC (the
one creating the job in PB FIRST PD) and the "server" PC (the one connected
to the DI900/DI950 inserter), you can create an online closed-loop job. An
online closed-loop job is one which the scan definition is first created on the
DI900/DI950, then sent to the client PC. Using PB FIRST PD, a job is created
from this scan definition and then printed, with the job data being sent back
to the server PC. The job is monitored by the Process Verification software
on the server PC as it is physically run through the DI900/950 inserter. In this
mode, the verification software will identify problem mailpieces and allow you
to reprint/fix them as needed. (You can also create online open loop jobs,
where no job reconciliation takes place.)
