Enhanced Integrity
This level of scanning corresponds to additional features in DI800, level 3.
These functions provide increased mail run integrity, by detecting missing,
blank, repeated, or out-of-order sheets. The following functions are supported:
WAS–wrap around sequence – page sequence number to detect missing
or out-of-order pages
Match Code–piece identifier, to detect missing pieces and pages that do
not belong in this mailpiece
Page Num–used with page count, in place of WAS, to identify individual
pages
Page Count–used with page num to detect missing pages and/or control
variable page sets.
Selective Feed Integrity
This scanning level corresponds to DI800, level 2. These functions allow the
customer to control the content of their mailpieces. Examples include sending
reply envelopes only to customers with a balance due, or sending notices or
marketing sheets to particular customers. Selective operations support:
Select Feed–main document controls other feeders
Env Select–select a different outer envelope
Select next–for compatibility with other inserters
Seal–leave selected pieces unsealed, to allow manual insertion for exam-
ple
Divert Sheets–to force certain sets to be diverted before folding
Envelope Select and Divert Sheets by page count (not by explicit OMR mark)
will work with any variable length job.
Enhanced Integrity and Selective Operations together correspond to the En-
hanced OMR option in the DI500 and DI600. The enhanced integrity and se-
lective operations options can be purchased independently–either option by
itself or both.
