No Scan code found.
The scan head did not detect ANY barcode on the page. Check scan head
alignment and or paper loading instructions.
Barcode Length Mismatch
(EC 1003/1203 too few chars, EC 1004/1204 – too many chars)
The length (# of chars) of the barcode scanned does not match the scan defi-
nition selected for the scanned item.
If the barcode type is I25 check scan head alignment and paper skew. If
the barcode type is C39, check for proper material or correct scan defini-
tion used.
Check material and verify that the length of the barcode does not change
from mail piece to mail piece.
No Scan Code Found
(EC 1200) is always given for Picket Barcode Job:
System software versions 01.08.02 , 01.08.10 and 01.08.14 have a defect
that prevents the data from being sent to the scan decode board when the job
is loaded. The job may work correctly initially after being created, but after a
re-boot of the system, the job will stop working.
The work around for this issue is to first select a job that used a ladder
barcode and then select the desired picket barcode job.
If the problem persists even after following the above guidance, check the
scan head location. For best results, align the scan-head with the marks
on the page.
Also check that none of the cabling is in the way of the moving beam scan
head. Looking through the bottom OMR guide cut out, you should be able
to see that the glass window on the front of the scan head is unobstructed.
