Base 43 Number
System
The Base 43 num-
ber system uses
Base 43, so the
place values of
the characters of
a Base 43 number
correspond to pow-
ers of 43.

TIP: The DI900/
DI950 software for
Barcode 3 of 9 sym-
bology recognizes
the normal ASCII
character set (i.e., up
to "%"). This trans-
lates to a Base 43
numbering system
(see table at right).
"Extended" ASCII
characters are not
supported.

TIP: The maximum
allowable count
value on the DI900/
DI950 for any func-
tion, base, and code
type is 9,999,999.
