Health and Status Messages

The following messages appear in the first column of the System and Test Status
screen. The highest priority Health and Status message also appears on all ATI
screens on the bottom right.

Message What Message Indicates
AIS at DSX-1, An AIS (Alarm Indication
Pt n Signal) is being received by
the DSX-1 interface.
AIS at G.703, An AIS is being received by
Pt n the G.703 interface.
Device Failed An internal error has been
yyyyyyyy detected by the operating
software. yyyyyyyy indicates
the 8-digit hexadecimal
failure code.
Download Failed A firmware download was
interrupted.
EER at DSX-1, An Excessive Error Rate
Pt n
(EER) condition has been
detected on the DSX-1
interface.
EER at G.703, An EER condition has been
Pt n
detected on the G.703
interface.
EER at Net, Pt n An EER condition has been
detected on the network
interface at Port n . The
condition is cleared when the
error rate falls below the
threshold value currently
configured.
Fallback Rate, The LTU, set to AutoRate
Pt n enable, synchronized at a
lower rate when the line was
restored after an LOS.

What To Do
A fault exists in the network
connected to the DSX-1 port.
Contact network provider.
A fault exists in the network
connected to the G.703 port.
Contact network provider.
1. Provide the 8-digit failure
code shown ( yyyyyyyy ) to
your service representative.
2. Reset the unit to clear the
condition and message.
Ensure that the file exists on the
TFTP server. Repeat the
download.
1. Verify the attached
equipment coding is
compatible.
2. Verify the clock
configuration.
3. Contact network provider.
1. Verify that the network cable
is securely attached at both
ends.
2. Verify the attached
equipment coding is
compatible.
3. Verify the G.703 line
termination is configured
correctly.
4. Contact network provider.
1. Check the Network
Performance Statistics
screen for possible line
impairments.
2. Set the unit to run at a lower
DSL line rate.
Reset AutoRate, or run at a
fixed rate.
