ADJUSTMENT OF THE REAR BRAKE
PEDAL (Fig.27)
The position of the rear brake pedal as
regards the footrest can be adjusted
according to the personal requirements.
To carry out the adjustment, work as
follows:
- loosen screw (2);
- adjust cam (1);
- tighten screw (2);
- check that play (A) of the pedal is approx.
5 mm/ 0,2 in. before starting the braking
action;

- otherwise, loosen lock nut (3) and work
on control rod (4) until the right play is
reached;
- tighten lock nut (3).
Never lower the play under 2mm/ 0.08 in.
on the brake pump.
A: To decrease clearance
B: To increase clearance
WARNING*: If the brake lever or pedal
feel mushy when they are applied, there
may be air in the brake lines or the brake
may be defective. Since it is dangerous
to operate the motorcycle under such
conditions, have the brake checked
immediately by an authorized
HUSQVARNA Dealer.
