OIL FORK LEVEL (Fig. 31A)
For the regular fork operation, both legs
must be provided with the necessary oil
quantity.
Remove the fork rods from the fork to check
the oil level inside the forkrods. Work as
follows:
- remove the power rod caps;
- remove springs from the stems letting the
oil drop into the latter;
- bring forks to stroke end;
- check that the level is at distance "A" below
the upper limit of rods.

REAR SHOCK ABSORBER (Fig. 32)
The rear shock absorber is driven by a
linkwork system of the hydropneumatic
type with a spring which can be adjusted
as follows:
- unscrew the upper counter ring nut (1);
- operate adjusting ring nut (2) unscrewing
it to obtain a spring release, or screwing it
to have a stronger spring load.
Adjustment of the compression stroke is
independent from the rebound stroke.
A ) C O M P R E S S I O N - S t a n d a r d
adjustment:
1) Low damping speed:
maximum open (adjuster 4)
2) High damping speed:
maximum open (adjuster 6)
To reset the standard adjustment , turn
upper adjusters (4) and (6) clockwise
until reaching fully closed position, return
then back for the mentioned clicks.
In order to obtain a smooth braking action,
turn the adjusters anticlockwise.
Reverse the operation in order to obtain a
harder braking action.
B) EXTENSION - Standard
adjustment:
TE 610: -20 clicks (± 2 clicks)
SM 610: -26 clicks (± 2 clicks)
To reset the standard adjustment, turn lower
adjuster (5) clockwise until reaching fully
closed position.
Return then back for the mentioned clicks.
In order to obtain a smooth
braking action, turn the adjuster anticlockwise.
Reverse the operation in order to obtain a
harder braking action.
